Microsoft announced plans to launch its XCloud game streaming service on Apple devices via Safari "in the next few weeks" after testing it with a small number of users.
Microsoft has been trying to roll out its game streaming service on Apple's platform for some time, allowing users to stream games from the cloud instead of storing them locally on the device.
Last year, Microsoft and Apple fought a bitter public battle over App Store rules that denied apps like XCloud access to the App Store.
Apple eventually changed its policy to allow such apps on its platform, but required that each game offered through the service be submitted independently for review.
Instead of implementing the new policy, Microsoft has decided to give users access to XCloud through Safari on the iPhone and iPad.
In addition to XCloud on Safari, the streaming service will also be available on Edge and Chrome.
