Microsoft has released an update to the PDF reader roadmap on its edge browser official website.
Most of the required features are now available on windows, MAC and Linux, Microsoft said. These include support for directories, page views, and basic forms for reading and navigating.
For the annotation function, users can use a variety of colors of ink, and can easily do text annotation on PDF. There are also many functions for business and education, such as reading aloud.

Microsoft also said that an important function currently implemented is view recovery. Its function is to remember where the user last read the document, which is very useful for PDF reading of book type.
Users will also be able to view other users' protected MIP files and verify certificate based digital signatures.
It home understands that Microsoft plans to add PDF file preview to windows file manager and outlook, and will support adding text boxes to fill forms. Users can also view the label of the protected file and verify the ETSI digital signature.
